 | | The Texans maintain the top spot as they were able to defeat the not-so mighty Jets on MNF. |
 | | The Falcons are off to a perfect 5-0 start but it hasn't been pretty the last two weeks. They barely scraped by against the Redskins but should get some reprieve with the Raiders visiting the ATL. |
 | | I'm still not sure that the 49ers aren't the best team in the league at this point. When they are good, they are really good. |
 | | Back to back unimpressive wins against the lowly Browns and Chiefs don't inspire a lot of confidence. That said, they are still the second best team in the AFC. |
 | | The Bears are rolling with three wins in a row. With the Packers and Lions struggling to get it going in 2012, the Bears could cruise to an NFC North Championship. |
 | | The Patriots ran more offensive plays in one game than the Jacksonville Jaguars have run all season. Seriously, Tom Brady and Co. may be hitting their stride and will quickly move up our Power Rankings. |
 | | The Giants fell into a 14-0 hole against the Browns. But it didn't last long as they showed why they are the defending SB Champs and why the Browns are the Browns. |
 | | Hey, I can't argue with what the Vikings are doing. They are 4-1 with a +41 point differential. They took care of the Titans this week but draw a tough matchup with the Redskins this week. We'll see on this one. |
 | | The Steelers kicked a game winning field goal against the Eagles. They clearly aren't the Steelers of old but they are still a force to be reckoned with. The return of Mendenhall will undoubtedly help this offense. |
 | | The Cards took one on the chin against a division rival on Thursday night. That said, this defense is good enough to keep them close. If the offense can find ways to score and minimize mistakes they could be a Wild Card team. |
 | | San Diego was unable to hang on against the Saints on Sunday night. Norv blew this one as he went away from the hot hand in Ryan Matthews. That said, this team should compete for an AFC West Divisional title. |
 | | The Pack was able to pull off a thriller against the Saints on Sunday. Rodgers and Co. haven't hit full stride but it's a matter of time. |
 | | The Bengals take a fall as they were defeated by the surprisingly decent Miami Dolphins. The Bengals were only able to put up 13 points which won't cut it in this division. They rely heavily on scoring points and not doing so could have this team falling down the Power Rankings |
 | | The Broncos ran into the buzzsaw that is the New England Patriots on Sunday. Their three losses have come at the hands of Houston, Atlanta, and New England. Not bad as they are three of our top six teams. |
 | | I just can't rate the Eagles any higher with them turning the ball over at an incredible pace. Mike Vick needs to protect the ball, otherwise this squad will be on the outside looking in at Playoff time. |
 | | The Seahawks were able to hold off the Panthers in a game that featured a couple of inept offenses. I hesitate to rank the Seahawks ahead of the Rams but I like this defense more than any facet of the Rams squad. |
 | | The Rams move up four spots with their defeat of the previously unbeaten Cardinals. The Rams still rank amongst the league's worst in major offensive categories which doesn't inspire a lot of confidence. But they are playing well right now which should get them some credit. |
 | | The Saints picked up their first win which could be one of many to finish the season. C'mon we all knew they were going to pick it up sooner rather than later. |
 | | The Cowboys needed a bye following their Monday Night football embarassment. |
 | | The Fins were able to knock off the Bengals on Sunday. They are one of the surprises of the NFL with Ryan Tannehill playing well. |
 | | The 'Skins probably deserve better as they rank as one of the top offensive teams in the league. Unfortunately, they can't stop the pass on defense which is costing them close games. |
 | | The Bills have been hammered two weeks running. Granted it's been by two of the league's best teams but it's cause for concern. Their two wins came against Kansas City and Cleveland which doesn't leave a great impression. If Buffalo continues this slide they may be picking near the top of 2013 NFL Draft. |
 | | Indy came off the bye week strong as they were able to best Green Bay 30-27. Andrew Luck is as good as advertised and if they can find a way to keep him upright and the defense hangs on this could be one of the most improved teams in the league by season's end. |
 | | Detroit scored a bye week at the right time. They have a lot to right on this ship, including how Calvin Johnson has one TD on the season. The defense needs to regroup if the Lions want to put together a run in this division. |
 | | The Jets are a mess. They are without their best offensive and defensive weapons and their offensive line is atrocious. They kept the Houston game close but I would be surprised if this is anything more than a 5 or 6 win team. |
 | | The week five bye was a blessing for a team coming off three consecutive losses. Josh Freeman has to revert to his 2010 version if this team wants to stay out of the bottom of our rankings. |
 | | Three consecutive losses has the Panthers reeling. It's bad when Cam's dad, Cecil has given him PR advice. |
 | | Oakland doesn't play this week and moves up two spots. Speaks volumes on just how bad Kansas City and Jacksonville are. |
 | | Kansas City couldn't buy a touchdown against the Ravens despite Jamaal Charles going for 140 yards. It's ugly in KC. |
 | | Jacksonville's offense may be historically inept. 65 points after five games is putting them in 2011 Cleveland Browns territory. There isn't much going right for the Jags right now and it's likely to cost Gene Smith his job after the season. |
 | | Blown out by Minnesota at Mall of America Field. There isn't much to look forward to this season. Chris Johnson and the non-existent Titan's running game rank 30th in the league. Not a good sign of things to come. |
 | | Good news Browns fans, Joe Haden will be back. No more Buster Skrine will be welcomed in Cleveland. Pat Shurmur is proving to as bad a situational coach as there is on a week by week basis. How does Trent Richardson not have the ball in his hands on 3rd and 1? Better yet why is he not even on the field? Good bye Pat. |
